Skin fade
Zero to blended, taper or drop, razored edge-up. The cut most of Larchmere walks in for.
45 min · $38Sixty-four years on Larchmere. Six chairs, one standard: you leave looking like the best version of the guy who walked in. Straight-razor shaves, skin fades, beard sculpting — no app-store gimmicks, just barbers who've done it ten thousand times.
What we do
Every service starts the same way: we ask what you want, then we tell you the truth about whether it'll suit you. Then we cut.
Zero to blended, taper or drop, razored edge-up. The cut most of Larchmere walks in for.
45 min · $38Shears only. Ivy league, side part, textured crop — anything that needs weight left in it.
40 min · $34Two hot towels, pre-shave oil, badger brush lather, cut-throat razor, cold finish. Thirty minutes of nobody bothering you.
30 min · $42Shape, taper down the neck, razor-crisp cheek line, beard oil worked through.
25 min · $26Fade, beard sculpt, hot towel, straight-razor neck finish. Book it before a wedding, not after.
75 min · $68Booster board, cartoon on the mirror TV, lollipop that outlives the haircut.
30 min · $24Cash, card, tap · Tips go straight to the barber
The board
The board's been repainted four times since Gus Marchetti hung it in 1974 — the layout has never changed. What's on it is what you pay. We don't sell you a "system," we don't ask about your "hair goals," and we've never once suggested a scalp treatment.
The barbers
Book the shop and you'll get whoever's free. Book a name and you'll wait — most of them are worth it.
The floor
Shot on the floor at Fadehouse — no stylist, no set dressing. The tile is original. So is the barber pole out front.

I've been sitting in Ray's chair since 2011. Moved to Columbus, still drive up every six weeks. That should tell you everything.
Brought my son in for his first haircut terrified he'd melt down. Dez had him laughing in ninety seconds and the fade was better than mine.
The hot-towel shave is the only thirty minutes a month nobody can reach me. I've started booking it whether I need it or not.
Book a chair
Online booking opens the chair schedule 21 days out. Same-day slots drop at 7am. If nothing's free, come anyway — we hold two chairs for walk-ins every single day.
Chairs 2 and 6 are never bookable. First come, first cut — average wait on a Saturday is 35 minutes, and there's coffee and a decent chair by the window.
