How it's made
We only sell what we can repair.
Every frame is mortise-and-tenon joined in oak or ash. No staples. No MDF. No glue-only joints that turn a chair into firewood the first time someone leans back too far.
It is slower. A Fjord frame takes one person the better part of a day, and we make about nine a week. That is the whole reason the range is narrow — we would rather make one sofa properly than eleven that are merely adequate.
When something does break, and it does, we post you the part and the tools to fit it. No invoice, no argument. We have sent out 2,300 replacement legs, dowels and hex keys since 2009. Every one of them kept a piece of furniture out of a skip.
