Oranienstraße 41 · Kreuzberg, Berlin · Est. 2015

Custom only.
Booked by the piece.

Six chairs, six residents, no walk-ins and no flash off the wall. You bring a reference and a body part; we spend a fortnight drawing something that only works on you, then we put it on in one sitting or five.

Everything is quoted by the piece before a needle is opened — day rate, session count, deposit. If the drawing isn't right you don't sit. We have turned work away for eleven years and intend to keep doing it.

One floor,
six chairs, no music

A former sheet-metal workshop behind Oranienstraße. Concrete, one wall of north light, and a partition per chair. We do not photograph finished work here — what you see is the room you will sit in.

(03) — How a piece happens

Five steps,
about ten weeks

Nothing is drawn before the consult and nothing is booked before the deposit. You see the drawing at least four days before you sit.

  1. 01

    Enquiry

Send placement, rough size in centimetres, three references and your budget ceiling. We reply within four working days telling you which resident fits and what it will cost — or that we are not the right studio, which happens about one time in five.

  2. 02

    Consult

Thirty minutes in the studio or on a call. We look at the body part, talk about how the design has to wrap, and agree the session count. Free, and it does not commit you. Free · 30 min

  3. 03

    Deposit

€120 holds the date and pays for drawing time. It comes off the final session, not the first. Movable once with seven days' notice; lost if you no-show. €120 · non-refundable

  4. 04

    Drawing

Two to three weeks. You get the drawing four days before the session and one round of changes is included. If it is wrong we redraw it; if it is still wrong you walk with the deposit spent and no hard feelings.

  5. 05

    Session

Doors at 11:00. Eat first, bring lunch, expect five to six hours with breaks. Large work runs across multiple days booked back to back where your skin allows it. €780 day · €420 half day

(04) — Rates & minimums

Priced by the
day, not the hour

Hourly billing rewards slow work, so we do not do it. Every piece is quoted as a number of sessions at the rate below, agreed in writing before you sit.

Half day

€420Up to 3 hours

Small to medium single-session work — palm-sized ornamental, script, a contained neo-traditional piece. Most first tattoos land here.

Full day · most booked

€7805–6 hours, one sitting

The standard unit. Half sleeves, backs of thighs, large ornamental panels. Multi-day work is booked as consecutive full days.

Studio minimum

€150Any piece, any size

Covers setup, single-use tubes and needles, and the drawing time even on a two-centimetre piece. Nothing goes out below it.

Deposit €120, off the final session Cover-ups quoted from €960 Free touch-up inside 90 days Cash or SEPA transfer · no cards

(05) — Aftercare

Fourteen days,
and it's yours

The same card we tape to your wrap. Follow it and the touch-up is free; ignore it and we will still fix it, but you will pay half a day.

  • Hours 0–3Leave the wrap on. It is not doing anything you can improve by looking at it.
  • Hour 3Unwrap. Wash with clean hands and unscented soap, lukewarm water, no cloth. Pat dry with kitchen paper, not a towel.
  • Days 1–3Wash twice daily. A rice-grain of unscented ointment after each wash — enough to shine, not enough to sit wet.
  • Days 4–14Switch to a plain unscented lotion, two to three times a day. It will flake and itch. Do not pick it and do not scratch it.
  • All 14 daysNo pools, baths, saunas, lakes or sea. Showers are fine. No direct sun on it, ever, and SPF 50 on it for life once healed.
  • Call usSpreading redness, heat, yellow discharge or a fever past day three. Ring the studio — that is not normal healing.

What people say
a year later

Nadia told me my first idea was bad, then spent three weeks drawing the right one. I sat four full days across two months. A year on it still reads clean from across a room, which is the whole point.
Mira Hollstein Full back panel · 4 days · 2025
I came in with a cover-up two other studios had refused. Wren quoted it honestly at three sessions and it took three. No drama, no upsell, and they charged exactly what the drawing said they would.
Deniz Aktaş Forearm cover-up · 3 sessions
The consult was thirty minutes and Solomon talked me down from something twice the size. That cost him money and saved me from a tattoo I would have grown out of. I have sent four people since.

Straight answers

Is the deposit refundable?
No. €120 pays for the two to three weeks of drawing that happens before you sit, so it is spent whether or not you turn up. It comes off your final session. You can move the date once with seven days' notice; less than that, or a no-show, and it is gone and you start again.
Do you take walk-ins?
Never. Every piece here is drawn for one person and one body part, which takes weeks. If you want something today, there are good street shops five minutes away on Skalitzer Straße and we will happily point you at one.
Will you cover up or fix someone else's work?
Wren does, and it is most of her book. Send clear photos in daylight with no filter, plus what it is and roughly when it was done. Cover-ups start at €960 and usually run two to four sessions. Some things cannot be covered and we will tell you that rather than sell you a black square.
Can I use numbing cream?
Yes, with one condition: tell your artist at the consult, not on the day. Numbing changes how skin takes ink, so we plan around it. Apply it yourself before you arrive following the product's instructions; we do not supply or apply it.
What's the minimum age?
Eighteen, with photo ID on the day, no exceptions and no parental consent route. German law is the floor here and our own policy sits on it. If you are seventeen, bookmark us and come back.
Are touch-ups free?
Inside ninety days, yes, provided you followed the aftercare card. Fine line and white ink are excluded — they settle unpredictably in every skin and we will say so before you book. Past ninety days a touch-up is half a day.
How do I pay, and when?
Deposit by SEPA transfer when you book. The balance in cash or by transfer at the end of each session — we do not take cards. Multi-day work is paid per day, not up front.
What if I don't like the drawing?
One round of changes is included and most pieces need it. If the second version is still wrong, you walk. The deposit is spent because the drawing time was real, but you are under no obligation to sit for something you do not want on you for forty years.
