Built and sold a payments company to a bank he now refuses to name. Leads fintech and anything with a regulator in the loop.
Each of us leads six to eight companies at a time. That is the ceiling, it is the reason the answer comes in fourteen days, and it is why we turn down more good companies than we would like to admit.
Whoever takes your first meeting is whoever joins your board. There is no handoff after the wire clears, because there is nobody to hand you off to.

Fifteen years shipping control systems for grid operators. Leads energy, industrials, and the hard-physics companies nobody else will underwrite.

Wrote the first cheque into 30 of the 64. Spent a decade as a CTO before that, which is why he still reads the codebase.
Team of six in total: three partners, a head of platform, a controller, and one person who runs the office and the calendar. Nobody on the investing side is an associate, and we are not hiring one.
A standing hour a month, which you can cancel without explaining. Some founders use every one; two have not taken a meeting in a year and are doing fine. The calendar bends to the company.
Term sheet in hand, a key hire wobbling, a customer threatening to leave — you get a partner on the phone the same hour. This is the only promise we make about speed after the investment.
Not a talent partner and a database. An actual partner on actual screening calls for your first engineering and sales hires, because those ten decide the next thirty.
We keep relationships with the funds that lead Series A in our sectors. We do not shop you around quietly to test the market, and we will tell you honestly when we think you are not ready.
Nothing you tell us about a missed quarter changes what we do next. The founders who tell us fastest get the most useful help, and the ones who wait get sympathy we cannot convert into anything.
If it does not work, we help with the wind-down, the conversations with your team, and the next thing you do. Four companies in this portfolio have shut down. We took the call from all four founders.
If someone at this fund asks you for something that is not here, you are entitled to say no and to tell one of the other two partners.
In whatever format you already write for yourself. Three paragraphs is plenty. We will not send you a template.
Before the board meeting, before you have the fix. Being surprised is the only thing that makes us slower to help.
Twenty minutes with a founder considering us, and the honest version. We never see what you said and never ask.
We read every application ourselves — all three of us, every Monday. Send the deck you already have. Do not build a new one for us.
Cold applications became 19 of our 64 investments. The intro economy is a filter for who you already know, and we are not interested in that number.
If your message is not a pitch, these reach a person rather than a queue.
Use the form above — it is the fastest route, and it is the one all three partners read on Monday.
