  • Repaired for life. Torn, blown, chewed by a marmot — send it in and we fix it free, first owner or fifth.
  • 90-day trail trial. Take it out properly. Doesn't hold up? Full refund, and we want your notes.

Materials & why

Three decisions worth arguing about.

  • 210D UHMWPE grid ripstop

Four times the tear strength of the 420D we used until 2023, at 30 g/m² less. It scuffs and it fuzzes — it does not rip.

  • Heat-mouldable hipbelt

Twenty minutes in our shop oven and it takes your iliac crest. Bring the pack in or follow the kitchen-oven guide we ship with it.

  • No zippers on the main body

Every warranty claim we logged between 2016 and 2021 that involved a zipper involved grit. So we removed them.

Between two sizes? Take the shorter one — the belt carries the load, not the shoulders. Or ask the bench and we'll work it out with you.

Field-tested

This pack's own test log.

We don't publish a highlight reel. Here is every trip this design went on before it earned a part number — including the two where it lost.

  • Bishop Pass traverse, −12 °FSix nights, 41 mph sustained on night four. Framesheet held. One hipbelt buckle iced shut — redesigned, now the shipping part.

  • Palisade Traverse, 5 daysCarried 47 lb over the recommended load on purpose. Stay bent 4 mm and stayed bent. We now state 45 lb and mean it.

  • Sierra High Route, 19 daysDana Okonkwo's production sample. Base fabric abraded through at the scree-glissade contact point; base changed to 420D that October.
