New here · the intro offer

Three classes, three weeks, forty-nine dollars.

Enough to find out whether this is for you, and long enough that the second class stops feeling like the first. Bookable once per person, and no card is kept on file afterwards unless you ask us to.

$49 covers any three classes on the timetable except the private. Grip socks are included — you keep them — and a late cancel on the intro does not burn one of your three.

Class 01 · lightest The first one

Tell the instructor at the door that it is your first. They will set your springs, put you on the machine nearest the floor, and stay near you.

Class 02 · the turn The second one

Book it within a week of the first. This is the class where the machine stops being confusing and starts being a machine, and almost everyone reports it.

Class 03 · full travel The third one

By here you will know. If it is a yes, the desk will move you onto a pack or unlimited and credit nothing — the $49 was the $49. If it is a no, that is a real answer too.

If you are pregnant, or something happened in the last six weeks, write it here and we will call you before confirming rather than putting you straight into a class.

That is booked — provisionally.

We have your request and will confirm by email within one working day.

Nothing has been charged. If you told us about an injury or a pregnancy, expect a phone call first rather than a confirmation — that is deliberate, and it takes about four minutes.

(02) Studio etiquette · the unwritten bits, written down

↳ Fig. 11 — The room in plan. Eight machines, no front, no mirrors.
What do I wear, and do I really need grip socks?

Something you can move in that is not too loose — the instructor needs to see your hips and knees to correct them. Grip socks are genuinely required on the reformers, not upsold: the carriage is a moving platform and bare feet slide on it. Your first pair is included in the $49 and in Foundations. If you forget a pair we keep them at the desk for $18. No shoes past the door.

How early should I arrive, and what if I am late?

Ten minutes early for your first class, five after that. We lock the door when a class starts, because the first four minutes are the springs-and-setup part and walking in halfway through it is how people get hurt. If you are running late, message the studio — if we are still in setup we will let you in, and if we are not we will move your booking rather than burn it.

Where do I put my things?

Shoes on the shelf by the door, bags on the hooks along the same wall. There are no lockers and there is no key — it is one room and you can see your bag from every machine. Phones go in your bag rather than on the machine; there is nothing precious about the rule except that a phone on a carriage becomes a projectile.

Do I clean the machine afterwards?

Yes, and everyone does it without being asked, which is the only reason it works. Spray and cloths live at both ends of the room. Wipe the carriage, the footbar and the shoulder rests, return the springs to two, and put the headrest flat. It takes about forty seconds and means the next class starts on time.

Is it a talking room or a quiet room?

Quiet during, talkative either side. The music is low enough to hear a cue over and nobody minds a laugh, but the room is small and eight people having conversations makes it impossible to teach from the floor. Jumpboard 45 is the exception and is deliberately louder.

Will I be corrected by touch?

Sometimes, and only if you are happy with it. The health form has a box for this and you can change your answer at any class by telling the instructor at the door. Nobody will ask you why, and it changes nothing about the class you get — hands-off cueing is a skill our instructors are trained in, not a compromise.

Why are there no mirrors?

We took them down in 2019 and nobody has asked for them back. With eight people and an instructor on the floor, you will be told what your spine is doing rather than left to guess at it in a reflection — and most people stop checking what they look like doing it by about the fourth class. It is the single thing our long-term members mention most.

Can I bring a friend, or someone who is watching?

A friend on their own intro offer, absolutely — tell us and we will put you on adjacent machines. Someone watching from the side, no. At eight machines in one room there is no side to watch from, and it changes how the room behaves. Children cannot be left in the studio during a class; there is a café four doors down that we shamelessly rely on.

(03) After the three · what people usually do

No lock-in, no joining fee

Nothing renews on its own.

When the three are done, the desk will ask you once what you want to do and then leave it alone. Most people go to a 10-pack while they work out their week, and move to unlimited about two months later. There is no card on file, no automatic rollover and no exit fee on anything we sell.
